We have built a large, roomy cabina, with kitchen,
bathroom + hot shower, and with 2 secure storage areas.
It is currently furnished with a king-sized handmade bed
with plush air mattress, bunkbed with double mattress on bottom,
handcrafted log bench and a table with four chairs. Kitchen setup
includes refrigerator, electric stovetop, stainless steel cookware,
all dishes, etc. Plenty of trees for hammocks!

The cabina is available for rent at a very reasonable rate (it's rustic!),  at rates
for daily, weekly, monthly, or year-round.

We are approximately 3 miles north of the coffee market center town of San Vito which has Internet, three supermarkets, a good selection of restaurants, hotels, hardware & building supply stores,  mechanics, vehicles for sale,  new and used clothing stores, fruit & vegetable vendors, ice cream shops, panaderías (both Italian and Costa Rican), a huge hospital, attorneys, a museum...and more.

There are buses running 7 days a week, local small markets and payphones within walking distance of the cabina, and inexpensive cabs available 24/7.
If you ride to the end of the line on one bus, you will be within a short distance of La Amistad International Park.
From San Vito, by bus it is approximately a 2-hour ride to the beach, 6 hours to San Jose, 2 hours or less to either of two Panama border crossings.
Wilson Botanical Gardens is very close to San Vito.

Peaceful, breezy, quiet. The altitude at 3000 feet prevents the temperature from exceeding a mean of 80 degrees F., and often showers will cool things down during the afternoon. There are warm blankets on every bed as it can get chilly at night.

You will find bananas, plantains, rambutans (lychees), and oranges ready to pick and eat, Yuca to dig and cook; possibly the pineapples and guanabananas will be ripe.
